Cleverea provides a fully digital travel insurance that covers flight passengers for what they care most: flight disruptions and mishandled baggage (as clearly stated by surveys to frequent travelers). These are among the top3 hassles that flight passengers suffer during their day of travel. Additionally we aim to closely collaborate with airlines to reduce the economic impact of the EU261 regulation. It is the first travel insurance that compensates passengers for any flight delay above 15 minutes. And we do that (i) automatically, (ii) claim-free (i.e. proactive vs. reactive) and (iii) without exclusions. i. Automatic: by leveraging on our proprietary technology we track all insured flights in real time and trigger compensations proactively as soon as we detect delays. ii. Claim-free: we are here to exceed any customer expectation as we don’t require paperwork nor proof of delay. iii. No exclusions: we cover the passenger no matter the reason of the delay. Alien abduction? Covered. Our insurance products are bundled with high value added services that provide customers with a best-in-class travel experience. These include airport VIP lounge access and discount vouchers at airport F&B shops for delays in case of delay at departure as well as smart notifications to keep them up to date with their travel details. We operate as an MGA and are responsible for product design, technology and software development, claims management and settlement, data gathering and analysis, risk management, underwriting, insurance distribution (B2C and B2B2C) and cusotmer service. Our fully licensed partner insurer will operate as the risk carrier.
